Placement Dates

The placement committee's decisions will be sent to the students' homes starting in early August.

Placement Criteria

The placement criteria, as determined by the Ministry of Education's circular, are:

  1. Characterization of exceptionalities
  2. Type of framework according to the parents' choice
  3. Educational stream for placement as stated at the Rights and Characterization Committee meeting
  4. Student performance profile
  5. Age group
  6. roximity of residence

Placement outside the City

All placements are in frameworks within the city. Placements outside the city are only made if there is no framework in the city that is suitable for the student's characterization and the type of framework requested. No placement outside the city will be made if there is a similar framework in the city.

Transportation

Students are entitled to transportation according to their disability and the physical distance from their home. Accurate information can be obtained from the Transportation Department.

Requests

  1. A. Change of type of framework according to the parents' choice
    According to the law, a parent may determine the type of framework in which the student will study. The type of framework may be changed until June 25 of each year.
    The request is made using Form 14 for changing the type of framework.
    Submit the request to the Special Education Department online on the municipality website or at the department during office hours.
    After June 25, 2023, it will not be possible to change the type of framework, and no requests will be accepted in this regard.
  2. Requests for transfers between frameworks
    Parents who wish to request a transfer to another framework that is similar to the student's profile may submit a written request by June 25 to the following email address: limora@lod.muni.il.
  3. Responses to requests will be received within 14 days of receipt of the request.Top of form
