Quick Access to the City of Lod
Dear Residents,
As part of a global trend to reduce the number of private vehicles on the road and encourage the use of public transportation, the City of Lod, the Lod Economic Company, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Netivei Ayalon Company are jointly promoting the quick access “Fast to the City” project.
Lod is one of 17 cities selected to join this important national project, which aims to establish a public transportation network in the city centers of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area.
The project is designed to set a new standard for public transportation and create a continuous, efficient, and convenient metropolitan network of priority lanes for public transportation. As part of the plan, public transportation lanes will be established throughout the City of Lod on Yoseftal, Hativat Yiftach, David HaMelech, HaNassi, Herzl, Katsnelson, and Abba Hillel Silver Streets. The Lod Economic Company recently completed the first section on Herzl Street. The public transportation lanes will improve accessibility to the city for the benefit of residents and visitors. The lanes will also ease traffic congestion and promote the use of efficient and fast public transportation while protecting the environment.
As part of the plan, we will hold public participation meetings, where we will present the operational plan for public transportation lines as part of the quick access “Fast to the City” program. At the meetings, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and share your suggestions and ideas for improvement, and we will examine their feasibility and expected results.
Join us! We invite you to be partners in the significant changes taking place in the city! Public transportation is the future.
At your service,
Adv. Yair Revivo
