Early Childhood - Birth to Age 6
This department is responsible for promoting the development of young children from birth to age three and coordinating the work of all entities working on behalf of children and their families in the city, with an integrative approach.
Vision
Based on the belief that the foundations for a child's adult life are built and shaped in early childhood, the Early Childhood Division will work to nurture children, promote their development, and meet all their needs in order to realize their potential. This will be achieved by creating a healthy, safe, and empowering environment for children and their families through community services and educational-therapeutic programs.
The Early Childhood Division will operate while maintaining constant dialogue between all partners and the community. It will also operate based on values of respect, tolerance, and equality, and from a multicultural perspective that takes into account the different needs of each population.
Visiting hours are by appointment at early childhood facilities.
