Youth Unit
The Lod Youth Unit provides a foundation for the personal and social development of the city's youth. Within the department, we work to guide every boy and girl in the city to realize their personal potential, connect with and recognize their abilities, and develop their skills in order to achieve maximum success.
The department works with youth aged 13-18 in informal settings in the afternoons and in joint programs with schools in a variety of fields in order to enrich the world of the youth and be relevant to all youth in all communities in a manner tailored to their different needs.
The department is involved in many areas, including:
- Preparation for military/national service
- Development and strengthening of youth movements and organizations
- Leadership programs, operation of neighborhood youth centers
- Programs for social involvement and community volunteerism
- Unique programs for skills development
- Production of cultural and leisure events throughout the year and during vacations.
Thanks to partnerships with parent committees, educators, school principals, and municipal prevention programs, we provide a comprehensive educational response for every teenager, throughout the day and week.
We have wonderful young people and we are here to give them the ground to develop.
The Youth Department staff are available and open to any ideas and initiatives and will be happy to assist in any matter.
