Menaad Institute
The Menaad Institute was established in 2021 as part of the educational psychology services in Lod, recognizing the need for research and the development of unique interventions to address the challenges faced by the city's residents in general and its children and youth in particular.
The Institute attaches great importance to an integrative approach that takes into account educational processes as well as the influence of social factors. This approach is designed to provide an in-depth and accurate response to the needs that arise in the field. To this end, the Institute employs researchers from the fields of educational psychology and social psychology.
The Institute aims to increase personal, organizational, and community resilience from a multicultural perspective. The Institute strives to deepen theoretical knowledge while developing interventions in educational and community settings, relying on a research-based practical model.
The Institute is professionally managed by psychologists from the Lod Educational Psychology Service, in collaboration with community and academic partners in Israel and abroad. This collaboration contributes to the advancement of high-quality, meaningful research, in line with the needs arising in the field. At the same time, efforts are made to make the accumulated theoretical knowledge accessible to the general public, especially to educators. Among other things, the institute conducts workshops for students and teachers in the city.
