Adv. Yair Revivo is the 11th elected Mayor of Lod since its establishment (excluding three appointed committee chairpersons who served in the city in 2000-2002, 2007-2011, and 2013-2011).

Yair Revivo, 43, is married to Yakira and father to four children.  They live in the Ganei Ya'ar neighborhood of Lod. Revivo was born in Lod and attended the “HaBanim” School and later the Ramla Lod High School. He excelled academically, earning three degrees in four years, all with Honors and the Dean's Award for Excellence. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in law, and a Bachelor's degree in Arabic and Political Science. During his studies, he was elected Chairman of the Student Union at Bar-Ilan University.

In the past, Yair Revivo served as CEO and treasurer of the Yeruham Local Council, and in the six years prior to his appointment as CEO of the Lod Municipality, he served as director of the city's Community Center (Matnasim) network, which he successfully rebuilt after the collapse of the national network of Community Centers.

In April 2011, Yair Revivo was appointed by Meir Nitzan as CEO of the Lod Municipality. During his tenure as CEO, Adv. Revivo led numerous projects in the fields of development, infrastructure, personal security, culture, and education, and forged close ties with Government Ministers and various Government Ministries.

Together with Nitzan, Revivo led changes and accomplishments that included restoring the Municipality's budget, transforming it from a “deficit municipality” to a financially stable municipality with a cumulative budget surplus.

Among the notable initiatives led by Revivo in Lod are the establishment of the District Court in Lod, the renovation and construction of modern and innovative parks throughout the city, and extensive activities in the field of recycling and improving the city's appearance. During these years, Yair Revivo was a leading partner in the establishment of student villages in Lod, he helped expand the student population in the city and promoted young people and student communities, which considerably strengthen the community living in Lod, as well as promoting the establishment of a Youth Center for 18-35 year olds that provides support and guidance in education, employment, and community involvement.

In the field of education, he was a senior partner in the implementation of a master plan for education, whose notable achievements include: reorganizing the education system while standardizing the organizational structure in each of the education streams, and transferring the city's high schools to leading educational networks in Israel.  This has led to a steady increase over the past three years of approximately 10% in the percentage of students eligible for a High School Diploma (Bagrut), from 35.4% in 2010 to 44.97% in 2012, as well as a steady increase in standardized test scores (Meitzav) in elementary schools.

He gradually established his position in the public arena as a person of values, educated, honest, and professional, with leadership skills, experience, and the ability to think critically. Despite his modesty, Yair Revivo is endowed with tenacity and determination as someone who knows how to clearly and concretely define his goals, make decisions and take difficult decisions with great courage despite the risk, and above all serve as a personal example. Yair's ability to listen to people and bring together all segments of the city's population were probably the main reasons for the overwhelming support he received from Lod voters.

The election of Attorney Yair Revivo by a huge majority has instilled new hope in the hearts of the city's residents and restored their trust in the City and the Municipality. Revivo is respected by all sectors of the city's population, including the Arab sector.

Since his election, the Mayor has led fundamental improvements in all areas of municipal activity, including the expansion and improvement of services to residents, while maintaining transparency, informing residents, involving them in city affairs, and creating a more open, encouraging, and challenging urban culture.

Revivo contributes greatly, thanks to his personality and experience, to creating positive attitudes toward the City of Lod, while fostering municipal solidarity and empathy among residents, who feel that Lod is undergoing a real transformation in terms of overall quality of life including infrastructure, development, education, personal safety, welfare, and community.

In the 2018 elections, Yair Revivo was elected for another term and succeeded in forming a broad coalition that includes all 19 City Council Members.
