Curriculum
Approximately 5,573 children aged 3-6 are educated in 159 kindergarten classes in Lod!
As an educational institution, kindergarten is a place that enables experiential learning through play and experimentation in a casual and purposeful manner. Learning takes place in all areas, based on interest and enjoyment, through coordinated work between the kindergarten teacher, assistant, children, and parents. The kindergarten is an educational framework whose goal is to promote and nurture the cognitive, emotional, social, and motor skills of young children, as well as to instill values, knowledge, and cultural background and to shape intellectual attitudes.
The broader the base of concepts and skills learned, and the more positive the attitudes toward learning and the education system at a young age, the more we will ensure that young people are eager to learn, interested, and willing to invest in their own development and that of their surroundings.
In Lod, considerable effort and resources are invested in early childhood education, based on the understanding that these years form the foundation and starting point for every child's future path. Therefore, the municipal system nurtures both the children themselves and their families, as well as the educational staff, kindergarten teachers, and assistants who educate young children.
